Family :
Lt Wodehouse was the son of Charles Edward and Eva Wodehouse, from Woolmers in Hertford. Insurance Officer (1913)House and time at Malvern: No 9, 1898 - 1902. See also: Malvern College First World War Casualty.
Malvernian - Dec 1917."Evelyn Wodehouse was the son of C. E. Wodehouse (O.M.), and the second of six brothers, who were all in No. 9. He was one of the first to join the Public Schools' Brigade on the outbreak of war, subsequently obtaining a commission in the Bedfords. He went to the front with them, and made himself as popular with his Regiment and Brigade as he had always been at School. He was killed while carrying out some extremely difficult and dangerous patrol work against an enemy occupying a strong, well-protected position. One recalls him as a high-spirited, thoroughly open and frank boy, whose good-nature and pleasant manner won for him many friends. These qualities were not merely superficial, but were the expression of a generous and very genuine character."
