Mike: HMS Crusader was a Tribal class destroyer of the Royal Navy launched in 1909 and sold for scrap in 1920. During the First World War she served in the North Sea and the English Channel with the 6th Destroyer Flotilla. |

Western Morning News 27 January 1917 shows him drowned, with his title as "Mr." Also listed in the Army and Navy Gazette - 3rd February 1917, also "Drowned".

Mentioned on a memorial at Blakeney Church: "Sacred to the memory of Warrant Officer William E. King. R.N. killed onboard HMS Bulwark 26th November 1914. Age 39 years. Also his brother Warrant Officer George. A. King. R.N. drowned from H.M. Destroyer "Crusader" Dover Patrol 21st Jan 1917. Age 32 years. THEIR DUTY NOBLY DONE."Masonic :
