Detail :

The British steamship CAMBRIC SS was torpedoed and sunk by German submarine U-35 when 14 miles W. of Cape Shershel, Algeria, on October 31st, 1917 when on route from Tunis for England, with a cargo of iron ore. He resigned from Cornithian in 1909, but went on to join De la Pole Lodge No. 1605 at Hull, 13th August, 1909. The contribution record of Corinithian shows that he "Drowned Dec/17."
