Unit / Ship / Est.: 2/Durham Light Infantry 

2nd Battalion August 1914 : at Lichfield. Part of 18th Brigade in 6th Division. Moved to Dunfermline but by 13 August was at Cambridge. 10 September 1914 : landed at St Nazaire.

Action : The Final Advance in Artois 

The Final Advance in Artois occured 2nd October - 11th November 1918. Concurrently with the advances in the Somme and Arras sectors the First and Fifth British Armies continued the advance and chase the Germans back towards the Belgian border.
