Battle or Action:

HM Submarine E10, Sinking of

  Detail :

HMS H10 was lost in the North Sea on 19 January 1918. It had a complement of twenty-two crew members. It failed to return from patrol on 19/1/1918. Oliver Loerscher has looked into this one as part of efforts to identify some recently discovered British submarine wrecks. H 10 sailed on 6th January 1918 to cruise to the NW of Vlieland (between 53 50' N-54 00' N and 03 45'E-04 00'E). She was expected back about noon 14th January 1918. H 10's patrol area was not heavily mined, and loss to a mine there must be considered unlikely though not impossible.
