| Merion SS in 1914 she was sold by the American Line to the British Admiralty to operate as a dummy battlecruiser representing HMS Tiger. She was torpedoed off Strati Island, Aegean Sea, near the entrance to the Dardanelles on the 30th May 1915 by German submarine UB-8 (Ernst von Voigt) |
